The man most directly responsible for this twaddle was Mr. Giark To You, who
did thus comment on Re: GUI Ext on the night of 01-Oct-97:

Wasnt it the easylife Iconify routine which generated quite a bit of CPU time,
when in iconify mode? I remember using one from an extension ages ago, and it
was quite CPU intensive.
